New high temperature resistant cyanoacrylate adhesive

High temperature cyanoacrylate adhesive
Permabond 825 high temperature cyanoacrylate adhesive

Permabond introduces new high temperature resistant cyanoacrylate adhesive!

PERMABOND® 825 is a low viscosity cyanoacrylate adhesive that provides higher strength at high temperature. This fast-setting cyanoacrylate bonds metals, rubbers, plastics, and more. Permabond 825 resists up to 200°C and has excellent retention of strength during thermal ageing. PATENTED TECHNOLOGY

Features and Benefits

  • Strong bonds that resist up to 200°C

  • No secondary or post-cure required to achieve temperature resistance

  • Low viscosity 120 mPa.s

  • Tolerates stresses at high temperature

  • Does not require zero-gap – better thermal stability with a larger gap and improved ability to bond issimilar surfaces

  • Higher strength retention after thermal ageing

  • 17 MPa bond strength to mild steel at 25°C

  • 4 MPa bond strength to mild steel at 150°C

This product differs from other high temperature ethyl and allyl cyanoacrylates available on the market as it does not require a post-cure at high temperature before it achieves full strength. This helps speed up production processes and reduce costs as clamping, jigs and ovens are not required. Component parts can be bonded in seconds and move on to the next stage of the production process. With rapid strength development parts are soon ready to be put into use, either at normal room temperature or into more harsh conditions, such as solder reflow processes or paint bake ovens or for general use in high temperature environments.

This high performance, patent-pending technology has been developed to help satisfy demands in a number of market sectors including electronics, electric motor manufacture, e-mobility battery applications, as well as for bonding applications where post assembly paint baking is carried out.
